Thank you for joining us for Sukkah Village 2021 in Princeton!

Tour 11 Sukkahs, a traditional Judaic shelter, on public sites around Downtown Princeton designed by high-profile architecture and design firms and NJIT competition winners


Special programming throughout the 10-day event will include: panel discussions, walking tours, a film screening, and family-friendly arts & crafts!


The event will promote the impact of design in addressing key social issues impacting New Jersey and the nation as a whole, such as

 At the end of Sukkot, each built Sukkah will be auctioned off to raise money for for an assigned charity. Sukkahs will be displayed at various sites around Princeton, with the main Sukkah Village being featured at

The Jewish Center of Princeton. 


 The Sukkah Auction on 32Auctions will stay open until the October 5th!

Sukkah City movie screening

When: 6:30PM - 8PM

600 submissions. 12 winners. 1 exhibition. An ancient structure gets a modern makeover.

 

In partnership with Princeton's Sukkah Village, the Arts Council will screen the film Sukkah City by Jason Hutt in our Solley Theater.


When best-selling author Joshua Foer (Moonwalking With Einstein) began to build his first sukkah, a small hut that Jews build and dwell in every fall for the holiday of Sukkot, he wanted to move beyond the generic plywood boxes and canvas tents that have become the unimaginative status quo.


This event will he hosted both in-person and over Zoom

Sukkah Village Family Day

Join us for a fun, festive and meaningful Sukkah celebration! Children will create their own sukkah invitations and decorations. The event will feature music, bubbles, snacks, and more!
